Psalm 66:1-4

Psalm 66
Shout for joy to God, all the earth;
Sing the glory of his name; give to him glorious praise!
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds! So great is your power that your enemies come cringing to you.
All the earth worships you
and sings praises to you; they sing praises to your name.” Selah

“How awesome are your deeds!” When was the last time you actually said this to God? Do you take the opportunity to reflect on the greatness of God? The vastness of His power? The wonder of His sovereignty? The Psalmist is not passive in his worship and praise to God. Shout for joy to God; Sing the glory of his name; Say to God…

I don’t think I have ever ‘shouted’ for joy to God… but that’s what we should be doing.- declaring His greatness, power, and majesty to all those around us. We should be so in awe of who He is and what He has done that we can’t help but let others know.

God desires praise from us. It is the very reason He created us- so we could choose to worship Him. He is waiting... Spend some time today in awe of who God is. Then, reflect on the great deeds He has done in your life. Allow His greatness to develop a passion within you. Shout for joy. Give Him glorious praise. Worship Him.

Psalm 8:1; 2-4 - O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him and the son of man that you care for him?
