Galatians 2:20

Galatians 2

20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

On the day that we celebrate the resurrection of Christ, this passage reminds us that we too have been raised from the dead.

We were dead in our sin. Hopeless. Lost. Condemned.

But we have been crucified with Christ- we are dead to our old selves. The person you were before Christ no longer lives. You are freed and full of hope.

Now you are alive in Christ. This means you should live for Him, rather than your flesh. Our lives shouldn’t look the same as they did before Christ. Our spiritual walk shouldn’t be an after thought.

Christ loved us so much - He gave Himself for us. Now? Live like it.
