Psalm 138

8 

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
 your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
 Do not forsake the work of your hands.

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me… What an incredible promise. What is God’s purpose for you? What is He calling you to? He will fulfill it for you if you are pursing Him.

The future can be so daunting. As you consider what to do, what direction to go, uncertainty and doubt can creep in. You may feel like God has called you to something, but you don’t know the best direction to take to get there. You want to obey God’s calling, but feel like everything is over if you make the wrong choice. What if you choose the wrong college, the wrong job, or make the wrong decision?

The thing is- it is not on us to fulfill God’s purpose in our life. This doesn’t mean you can just do whatever you want and somehow God will still work wonders through your life. We do have a responsibility too. We are called to pursue and glorify Him. Walk in His Word. Seek His counsel. Submit to His purposes. But He fulfills his purposes for us. If you are pursuing God’s calling in your life, He is faithful. He will get you there. Just continue growing in Him and be committed to developing your gift.   

Romans 8:28- And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.
